Virus Advisory - W32/Vote Last Updated 9/27/01

CIT has received a number of inquiries regarding a new virus called W32/Vote. This virus is currently rated at low risk and is detected and cleaned by the current 4163 Dat and 4.1.40 Scan Engine. The virus arrives via email with the attachment:

WTC.exe

Upon execution of the attachment the W32/Vote sends itself out to everyone listed in the personal address book of the infected client.
